Okay first year campers, here’s the scoop...
​If you are nervous or scared about getting on the bus, all we have to say is: “You are normal”!!!
(Just try to throw up on your own lap! Only kidding!).
Here’s what the day will be like:

1. Right now (as soon as you finish reading this), practice three times saying goodbye to your parents. You must do this exercise prior to the first day of camp!
2. Have breakfast and hug your parents.
3. At the bus stop, take your carry on bag and lunch and kiss your parents goodbye. This is great practice, because on the first day of camp…
4. Your parents can walk you to the bus door where a counselor will sign you in. If you would like to be assigned someone to sit with, we have prepared that for you; otherwise, feel free to sit wherever you like - on the pre-assigned bus only! There is no bus switching allowed. Thanks for understanding this in advance.
5. Your parents are not allowed on the bus. They cause a lot of confusion!
6. Busses will leave promptly.
7. On the bus, counselors will walk around to make sure everything is okay. There is even a bathroom on the bus. Then relax and enjoy the ride.
8. When you get to camp Mitch, Bob, Amy, the Camp Moms and Senior Staff, as well as your counselors will be there as you step off the bus.
9. Tell any counselor when you step off the bus your first and last name and they will then point you to where your counselors are standing (in fact, we will tell you your bunk number and your counselors will be holding up huge signs).
10. Your counselors will walk you up to your new bunk.
11. We will introduce you to your bunkmates.
12. Everyone in the bunk gets a hair check!!!
13. Your camp big brother or sister will walk you around camp.
14. If it is hot, we’ll go for a swim.
15. We’ll have flagpole lineup, where Mitch will officially WELCOME you and everyone else to the start of CAMP… and then eat dinner (We are having Spaghetti, (meat balls and sauce are served separately and on the side), garlic bread, salad bar and Oreo brownies for dessert!
16. Free Play after dinner (near the White Rock). 
17. Counselor Welcome Show and the first campfire of the summer.
18. Bunk talk!
19. A little sleep!
20. Next morning: a great day of activities!!!!
